Diagnostic Vascular Unit (DVU)

The University of Michigan's Diagnostic Vascular Unit (DVU) is a full-service, ICAVL-accredited, clinical diagnostic laboratory. This unit performs noninvasive ultrasound studies for venous and arterial diseases, including duplex ultrasonography for the diagnosis of carotid occlusive and venous thromboembolic disease, and Doppler waveform analysis for the evaluation of arterial insufficiency. Our labs perform approximately 2,100 tests every month including both inpatient and outpatient procedures.
