Jobst Visiting LectureshipOn November 2, 2007, the Section of Vascular Surgery and The Jobst Vascular Center at the Toledo Hospital held the 18th Annual Conrad Jobst Lecture featuring Professor Russell D. Hull, MBBS, MSc. Speaker: Russell D. Hull, MBBS, MSc Topic: "Advances in the diagnosis of clinically suspected pulmonary embolism: An evidence based approach." Russell Hull is Professor of Medicine at the University of Calgary, Canada, where he has been Professor since 1988. He studied medicine at the University of Sydney, Australia, where he earned his MBBS in 1968. Following this, in 1981, he received his MSc from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. Dr. Hull has been presented with a number of awards and distinctions, including the Distinguished Scientist Award by the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation. Dr. Hull's clinical and research interests include the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of venous thromboembolism. He is a prolific writer, having written over 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and over 150 book chapters, and co-authored 4 books. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. |
