Chest Wall Resection

Even if a tumor is invading the chest wall, a resection of the lung cancer in continuity with the involved chest wall is possible and frequently results in survival as good as that achieved in patients without chest wall invasion. Currently available methods of prosthetic chest wall reconstruction provide excellent functional and cosmetic results.
