Dr. Haase has active research interests in several clinical projects. He has grant support to investigate outcomes following operative treatment of wrist fractures. He is also participating in ongoing projects looking at rehabilitation needs after wrist fractures, shoulder dysfunction in carpal tunnel syndrome patients, and cost-utility analysis in leg reconstruction.

Previous publications by Dr. Haase include work on experimental nerve grafts for nerve repair, as well as innovative nerve transfers to restore hand function. He has authored book chapters on skin tumors of the hand, hand trauma, and leg reconstruction.
