"Safety in a Box" includes all materials needed to teach children the importance of booster seat usage.
Included in the box are two children activities as well as instructions, a teaching outline, parent and educator letters from Dr. Stewart Wang, height and weight activity forms, safety facts, child booster seat licenses and a child passenger safety resources page — all laminated for easy copying. "Safety in a Box" has been developed to be an easy-to-use instructional tool. Included in the box is a CD/DVD appropriate for adult veiwing in order to become familiar with the use of booster seats.
A wall-mountable height chart and a weight scale are included for the measuring activity. Once it is determined that a child is of appropriate height and weight for booster seat usage, the child is presented with a license. A photograph (from an I-Zone camera or a school picture) can be attached to the license.
The crash demonstration test includes a toy vehicle, plastic eggs, rubber bands and a ramp. The ramp can be suspended on the edge of the box using the hooks. The vehicle is loaded with two eggs in the rear seats. Only one should be secured with a rubber band. The scale used for weight measurements can be placed at the end of the ramp as a barrier (8" to 12" away).

The vehicle is then sent down the ramp -- once it impacts the scale, the restrained egg will remain in the vehicle intact, while the unrestrained egg will be ejected and will fall apart.
