Biography

Dr Kevin C. Chung is a hand and upper extremity surgeon who performs a wide variety of reconstructive procedures in the fields of rheumatoid arthritis, congenital hand problems, spinal cord injuries, nerve injuries, and complex fractures. Dr. Chung serves as an Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs (instructional track) for the Medical School. He has served as a council member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and is a Director for the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has published over 210 manuscripts in national journals and has edited 8 textbooks. He is a National Institutes of Health funded researcher who is the principal investigator for an R01 grant for a multicenter clinical study on the rheumatoid hand. He has also received a K24 Midcareer Investigator Grant in Patient-Oriented Research and a R21 Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant Award from the National Institutes of Health. He is the Deputy Editor for the Journal of Hand Surgery and is the Section Editor of Outcomes Research for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
