biography

Kimberly W. McCrudden, MD is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery in the section of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Michigan. In addition, she is co-director of the Extracorporeal Life Support program. She obtained her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in molecular biology. She obtained her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and subsequently completed her training in general surgery at the affiliated New York-Presbyterian Hospital. While in New York, Dr. McCrudden also completed a two-year ECMO fellowship at the Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian. She completed her pediatric surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan C. S Mott Children's Hospital.

Dr. McCrudden is currently board-certified in general surgery and board-eligible in pediatric surgery. She is a candidate member of the American College of Surgeons. Her practice encompasses all of pediatric surgery. Her clinical interests include extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), minimally invasive surgery, pediatric critical care, and surgical education.
