

Application RequirementsAn applicant for our pediatric surgical training program must be board-certified or board-eligible in general surgery. It is anticipated that the candidate will become board-certified during this residency. Applications are accepted beginning two years before the start of the residency. Applicants are selected through the matching program conducted by the National Resident Matching Program in January of the year prior to entry; the results are announced in May. The University of Michigan Pediatric Surgery Residency Program is now participating in the ERAS 2007 Residency Match. This is the only process we will be accepting this year.
