Pre-Operative Bowel Preparation

The bowel prep instructions are below. We know this is a difficult process, but it is very important that the bowel is adequately prepared prior to surgery.

2 Days Before Surgery

• Diet: clear liquid diet

1 Day Before Surgey

• Diet: clear liquid diet
• Meds: 9:00 am Cherry Nulytely (it is best served chilled. It will have a salty taste)
• 10:00 am both Neomycin and Erythromycin
• 1:00 pm both Neomycin and Erythromycin
• 3:00 pm both Neomycin and Erythromycin
• Fleets Enema

Morning of Surgery

• Diet: Nothing to eat or drink per preoperative instructions
• Meds: Fleets Enema
