GivingThe Intestinal Failure and Short Bowel Syndrome Multi-Disciplinary Team is committed to the care of seriously ill infants and children. Our goal is to approach children with these disorders with both current and novel approaches. The Team continues to be nationally recognized for its clinical and basic science research. The University of Michigan Health System's preeminent place among America's great institutions of medicine is in no small measure the result of its superb faculty. Through their teaching, research and dedication to patient care, they contribute to our nation's and the world's well being. Recruiting and retaining outstanding teachers and researchers benefits our patients, students and programs. Often this is done through endowed professorships, which can both honor past faculty and protect research time for future faculty. Private donors can also have a significant impact on this program by smaller individual donations. For those who are interested, we would gratefully appreciate a contribution to continue our research and teaching. VICTORIA STABLER RESEARCH FUNDThis fund was established by a former patient cared for by our group. Contributions to this Fund allow us to perform basic science research in the fields of total parenteral nutrition, parenteral nutrition-associated liver disease, and short bowel syndrome. Please give online or by mail. |
