Clinical CareOur clinic focuses on coordinating the nutritional and gastrointestinal care of infants and children who suffer from short bowel syndrome (SBS) or intestinal failure from either malabsorption or dysmotility. We provide for routine monitoring of parenteral and enteral nutrition, work closely with patients in making transitions off TPN, and carefully select patients who may benefit from bowel lengthening procedures. The team also receives support from Child Psychiatry and Occupational Therapy for working with children who have eating disorders, on an as needed basis. Appointments can be scheduled through the Section of Pediatric Surgery at (734) 764-4151. |
