• Surgeon Michael Englesbe wins medical school’s top teaching award

    Michael J. Englesbe, M.D., an associate professor and transplant surgeon whose research focuses on improving surgical outcomes by modeling body characteristics, was presented with the University of Michigan Medical School’s most prestigious teaching award in May. He was one of just two faculty members out of about 2,000 to win the Kaiser-Permanente Award for Excellence in Teaching (one for clinical education, one for preclinical).
