Karin M. Hardiman, M.D., Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Surgery
Karin Hardiman, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Colorectal Surgery. Dr. Hardiman graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in Biochemistry. She received her M.D. and PhD degrees from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Medical Scientist Training Program in 2004. She completed her General Surgery residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, in 2010. She remained there for her fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery which she completed in June, 2011. Dr. Hardiman joined the faculty at the University of Michigan in September, 2011.
Dr. Hardiman's primary research interest is in improving the treatment of colon and rectal cancer via basic science and translational research.
