Pediatric Surgery Rotation

Experience in pediatric surgery is gained through rotations on this service in the first, second, and fourth years of training.

The objective of the rotation is to provide a broad-based perspective on the nature of surgical problems occurring in children, including neonates. The service provides a heavy operative experience for junior-level house officers and extensive exposure to common surgical problems. Senior-level trainees participate at a more advanced level and regularly perform complex surgical procedures with the attending faculty and fellows. All levels of trainees participate in the care of preoperative and postoperative patients in clinic.
