Fifth Year Goals and Objectives

Resident has primary responsibility for the overall operation of the service. He/she participates in the pre- and post-operative management of all patients and performs procedures necessary to qualify him/her as a competent general surgeon. The development of the resident's competence as a general surgeon is documented by the attending staff in their evaluations to the program director.
