Sandra L. Wong, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology, Section of General Surgery. Dr. Wong graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with an undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology in 1992. She received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Wong went on to complete her General Surgery residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. In June of 2005, she completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where she served as the Chief Administrative Fellow. Dr. Wong joined the faculty at the University of Michigan Health System in July of 2005. Dr. Wong's clinical interests are in general surgical oncology, with a focus on melanoma, sarcoma, and gastrointestinal cancers. Her research has focused on clinical trials in oncology, and she has interests in surgical decision making and clinical outcomes research. |
