José A. Soriano, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a Assistant Professor in the Section of General Surgery at the University of Michigan Health System. A graduate of Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, Dr. Soriano completed a General Surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit in 1994, as well as a fellowship in Surgical Endoscopy and Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 1995. Board certified in General Surgery, his clinical interests and areas of expertise include general surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and gastrointestinal endoscopy including ERCP.

Laparoscopic procedures performed include cholecystectomy, bile duct exploration, splenectomy, fundoplication, vagotomy, colon resections, appendectomy, and abdominal hernia repairs.
