biography

Csaba Gajdos, M.D. is a Clinical Lecturer in the Division of Surgical Oncology, Section of General Surgery. He received his medical degree from the Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Medical University in Szeged, Hungary. Prior to completing his general surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in June 2007, Dr Gajdos finished two research fellowships focusing on breast cancer research and treatment. He studied clinical aspects of breast cancer at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY and focused on traslational research at the Northwestern University Cancer Center in Chicago, IL. He joined the faculty as a Clinical Lecturer/Surgical Oncology Fellow in July 2007.

Dr. Gajdos' clinical interests are in general surgical oncology with a focus on breast, melanoma, sarcoma and gastrointestinal cancers. His research has focused on clinical and translational research in breast cancer.
